Went to the fireworks again last night. Again, felt a little akward at being the only photographer without a tripod.
I know I need one
but I don't have one
So I'll make do with what I have.
Sometimes I get my shots handheld. Usually the shots from atop the bridge as a tripod/monopod is useless up there. Fortunately here I'm so close to the fireworks I don't need exposures longer than 1 second.
Other times I find a spot where I can set the camera down on a flat surface, which works quite well if I use a towel/cloth to help position it.
And yes, I know a bean bag would work better than a towel, but I'm usually just barely able to fit the
